Online dating is different than picking up girls at a bar. You can’t rely on your looks (of course… that might be a good thing). And you can’t rely on your personality (that also might be a good thing). All you have are a few pictures and a few words. But most people don’t think they photograph well, and even less people think they write well. So how are you supposed to create affective sugar daddy personals? Here are a couple tips:
First, find an honest picture. By honest picture, we mean two things: one, don’t use a picture from 15 years ago because that’s only going to cause problems when you meet the girl (and let’s face facts, sugar babies aren’t necessarily there for your chiseled cheekbones); and two, don’t use a photo that’s shows you doing something “awesome.” For example, tons of people use photos of themselves overlooking a beautiful sunset, hiking through some exotic location, or sitting in an expensive car. The problem is beautiful sunsets happen everywhere, most people get to vacation at some exotic looking location at some point in their lives, and sitting in an expensive car doesn’t have to mean you own said expensive car. So be honest and use a picture of yourself. Trust us – she’ll appreciate more once she meets you.
The second tip: don’t write how you speak. Sugar daddies are generally educated, affluent men, so why do you want to come off as “young” or “cool” or “hip.” That’s not to say you can’t be those things, but even the best writers have trouble creating those kinds of dialects. And when done poorly, the writer sounds ignorant. Do you want to sound ignorant? Probably not. So instead, when composing your Sugar Daddy personals, write like you’re writing an email to a familiar business correspondent. Be personable, but be professionally. Don’t worry… with this advice, you’ll have plenty of time to “get more comfortable” with your sugar baby soon enough. Also, don’t steal text or plagiarize – it’s wrong!
